On the blog this week, I have THE most stunning playroom makeover from the incredible Belinda from Sweet Home Styling. Belinda has recently created the most divine playroom for her 3 girls and I am so thrilled Baby Donkie played a part in her impeccable playroom design.

After her big Playroom reveal on her Instagram account, I had the opportunity to ask Belinda about her inspiration for the playroom, her why and how she created the most divine space for her 3 daughters.I am in absolute awe that Belinda completed the project in record time, four weeks from start to finish that is on top of being a Mum to 3 daughters. Wow, that is seriously amazing as she has created such a stunning, imaginative play space!

Belinda has an incredible eye for detail and product styling as you can see from the photos featured here on the blog.I feel so honoured to be a part of her Instagram and Styling journey, which has been instrumental in helping her through her post natal anxiety after the birth of her 3rd child. Thank you again Belinda, I am so grateful to have gotten to know you over my fave social community, Instagram.

Sweet Home Styling - Getting to Know Belinda

Hi I’m Belinda, I’m the stylist behind Sweet Home Styling. I’m a total loved up wifey to an amazingly supportive husband, Mumma to 3 little rainbow babies, 5.5yr old twins Amelia & Sophie and 2yr old Isabelle.

Sweet Home Styling was born about 18 months ago out of a passion for children’s interior design.  I started it a few months after the birth of my youngest daughter Isabelle. I was suffering mentally with post natal anxiety and I needed a distraction, another focus - an outlet just for me, so sweet Home Styling was created.  I started to share snippets of my home and my life on my Instagram account - it has become a place where I can share my love of styling.

“It’s my happy place.”

As the months passed I really started to enjoy sharing my love of interior design. In particular, my favourite thing became styling my girls bedrooms. Bringing room inspiration to others made my heart happy and still does. I’ve got no official interior design training, it’s all just naturally come to me & my main inspiration has always been my girls.

The support that I receive has been absolutely amazing and in those early months of my Instagram page just being created, it was that support and encouragement that helped me work through my mentally struggling days. I still get blown away by the response I get on the rooms that I style, it honestly just warms me within, that others actually love my styling just as much as I do.

I collaborate with a lot of different businesses and I am so excited for each and every collaboration. I'm truly honoured that the business have faith and trust in my styling to showcase their products.

Sweet Home Styling has helped me in so many ways. I’ve “met” some amazingly talented women and made some incredible friendships. For that alone I’ll always be so thankful I took the plunge of jumping into this world of Instagram & Styling.

Sweet Home Styling - Inspiration

My three little girls’ creative nature was my main inspiration in creating this play space. The kitchen area was the first part of the playroom that I started with as I knew it would be the centrepiece of the creative space. I really wanted to create the feeling of the kitchen being in a house, so I painted the house outline behind the play kitchen, it gives it the feel of exactly what I wanted.

My girls have the most amazing little imaginations and absolutely love to pretend play, so I felt it was really important to create lots of opportunity for imaginative moments of play. A magical space where their little minds can expand & explore, a place where they can escape for quiet time under the canopy & read a book.

Toy storage was another important factor when creating the playroom, I wanted it practical, well organised & labelled for easy pack away after play.
